TheSalaryCalc builds free, straightforward salary, tax and end-of-service calculators for people working across borders — in the Gulf, Southeast Asia and India.

Most people encounter these numbers at the worst possible time to be doing arithmetic: mid-negotiation, right before resigning, or while comparing a job offer against a payslip in a currency they're still getting used to. Our aim is to make that moment simpler — one clear number, built on the actual current law for each country, not a rule of thumb passed around a WhatsApp group.

Each calculator is built directly from the relevant labour law or tax code for that country, and we note our sources and the date of the underlying law where relevant. Laws change — if you spot something that looks out of date, let us know.

These tools are estimates for general guidance. They aren't a substitute for advice from a licensed professional, and for anything with real money on the line — final settlements, tax filings, contract disputes — we'd always recommend confirming with your employer, an accountant, or a labour authority directly.
